Job Description

Our distinguished client seeks to appoint a Chief Technology Officer based in Cyprus. The selected individual will craft and execute a technology strategy that aligns with business objectives, driving growth and competitive edge. This role emphasizes ensuring the trading infrastructure supports high-volume, low-latency trading with optimal uptime. Additionally, the CTO will inspire and lead the tech team, nurturing an innovative, collaborative, and high-performance environment, while mentoring staff to master cutting-edge technologies and methodologies.

Roles & Responsibilities: 

• Develop and implement a unified technology strategy that aligns with the company's business objectives, focusing on accelerating growth and enhancing competitive edge. Ensure our trading infrastructure supports high-volume, low-latency trading with maximum uptime.
• Lead the technology team, fostering an innovative, collaborative, and high-performance culture. Mentor and develop the team to ensure proficiency in the latest technologies and methodologies.
• Drive technological innovation to improve trading platforms, back-office systems, and client-facing applications. Ensure our technology stack is scalable, reliable, and supports rapid growth and international expansion.
• Oversee the development and implementation of robust cybersecurity measures to protect client data and company assets. Ensure compliance with international financial regulations and standards.
• Negotiate and manage relationships with software vendors, technology partners, and service providers, ensuring they meet the company’s quality and service standards.
• Regularly review and optimize the performance of the IT infrastructure and systems to meet business demands, including high transaction volumes and fast execution speeds.
• Ensure technology initiatives enhance user experience and customer satisfaction. Proactively identify and implement technology solutions to meet the evolving needs of traders.
• Stay updated on new trends and technologies in the financial and tech industries. Evaluate and propose the adoption of new technologies that can benefit the company

Expectations & Requirements: 

• Possess at least 10 years of experience in a technology leadership role, preferably within the financial services or trading industry, with a solid background in developing and optimizing trading platforms such as MT4 and MT5.
• Proven success in developing and executing technology strategies that have driven measurable business growth.
• Extensive experience with trading platforms, financial software development, cybersecurity, and IT infrastructure management.
• Strong leadership and team development skills, capable of inspiring and motivating a high-performing technology team.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
• Deep understanding of the regulatory environment and compliance requirements in the trading industry.
• Hold a degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field; an MBA or equivalent experience in business management is highly desirable.
