The team is expanding, and they are seeking a Compliance Assistant to join their Limassol office. The successful candidate will engage with compliance issues and monitoring functions in a dynamic industry, offering a valuable opportunity for growth and development.

Roles & Responsibilities: 

  • Oversee trading activities to detect suspicious or unauthorized actions through compliance system reports and alerts.
  • Maintain and update compliance documents, including policies, procedures, and regulatory filings, ensuring they are organized and accessible for audits.
  • Compile data, analyze trends, and summarize compliance issues for regular reports to management and regulatory authorities.
  • Stay updated on regulatory developments affecting the firm, researching and interpreting their impact on operations.
  • Organize and schedule compliance training for employees, prepare materials, and track participation and completion.
  • Assist in investigating compliance breaches reported by employees or detected by monitoring systems, documenting findings thoroughly.
  • Assist the Compliance Officer in implementing new or updated compliance policies, communicating changes to relevant departments, and ensuring understanding and adherence.
  • Perform due diligence on clients, reviewing documentation and verifying compliance with KYC and AML regulations.
  • Collaborate with the internal audit team during compliance audits, providing necessary documentation and support.
  • Assist in special projects related to compliance initiatives or regulatory filings as directed by the Compliance Officer or senior management.

Expectations & Requirements: 

  • At least one year of experience in the Compliance Department within a CIF.
  • Holding a BA, Law, Compliance degree, or a related field is advantageous.
  • Skilled in MS Office.
  • Demonstrates high integrity.
  • Possesses excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Attentive listener with the ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • Exhibits strong critical thinking abilities.
  • Maintains a positive attitude and team-oriented spirit.
  • Pays close attention to detail.
  • Capable of meeting deadlines punctually.
