Systems Administrator

Job Description

An international financial company based in Cyprus is looking for an IT Systems Administrator to join their IT team. The candidate will manage and maintain the company’s IT systems, including software, hardware, and communication tools, while assisting internal users with IT issues. Depending on experience, the role may also involve leading IT projects, managing IT security, and overseeing Active Directory, Domains, and Office 365 administration.

Roles & Responsibilities: 

  • Perform IT system maintenance based on priority.
  • Offer accessible and professional IT support to internal users, both locally and internationally.
  • Handle IT Service Desk responsibilities, including issue resolution, office hardware management, and processing of leavers and joiners.
  • Maintain essential technology systems such as email, domains, telephony, LAN, Wi-Fi, PCs, laptops, printers, backups, and local servers.
  • Analyze, compare, and purchase IT equipment and related services.
  • Ensure continuous operation of all telecommunication systems.
  • Engage in ongoing activities to improve the company's IT infrastructure.
  • Assist in managing generators and UPS, and liaise with the Electricity Authority when necessary.
  • Identify, propose, and implement enhancements to systems, procedures, and services.

Expectations & Requirements: 

  • Hold a Diploma in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a closely related field.
  • Have 2-3 years of experience, including a role as a Service Desk Technician.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in troubleshooting both Windows and MAC systems, including end-user support.
  • Manage and administer Antivirus Consoles effectively.
  • Oversee and maintain WDS/MDT Server operations.
  • Possess basic knowledge of networking, including switches and VLANs.
  • Experience with Active Directory and understanding of Azure AD, including managing GPOs, DNS, and DHCP.
  • Exhibit a proactive approach to learning through self-study and mentorship from senior team members.
  • Familiarity with system monitoring solutions.
  • Display the highest levels of integrity and honesty in all aspects of work.
  • Exhibit a positive, can-do attitude with a strong willingness to support the team across various responsibilities.
