Job Description

The company is established to provide Discretionary Asset Management services involving various types of payment tokens and is building a team of professionals. We are looking for a Legal Counsel to join our new team and contribute to the overall development of this new venture. 

What You Will Do: 

• Provide expert legal advice across a wide range of areas, ensuring adherence to Swiss financial regulations, especially in asset management and cryptocurrency. 
• Support the company’s day-to-day operations by identifying and mitigating legal risks, maintaining client confidentiality, and managing overall risk. 
• Draft, review, and finalize contracts and other legal documents to protect the company’s interests, including matters related to license extensions and regulatory compliance. 
• Build and manage relationships with external entities, such as regulators (FINMA), external counsel, and public authorities, to foster and strengthen these key partnerships. 
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and assist in corporate governance by advising the board on legal issues and adherence to corporate laws. 
• Oversee data privacy and cybersecurity measures, ensuring compliance with both Swiss and international regulations to safeguard client information. 
• Handle dispute resolution processes, including litigation and arbitration, to reduce operational disruptions. 
• Provide legal support for international transactions and develop training programs on relevant legal and regulatory matters for staff. 

What Will Help You Achieve the Best Results: 

You are a seasoned Legal Counsel with a solid understanding of compliance matters and the blockchain industry. You should possess: 

• A Law degree with a strong grasp of trust management, business structuring, and corporate and fiduciary management. 
• At least 5+ years of experience in legal roles, with experience in crypto compliance regulation considered an advantage. 
• A thorough understanding of Blockchain/Crypto Asset laws and regulations. 
• High professional ethics and unwavering integrity. 
• A growth mindset combined with sharp judgment and analytical skills. 
• Excellent organizational abilities and the capability to work independently. 
• Proficiency in English. 
• The ability to quickly learn and adapt to new software or technology tools. 
• Flexibility to travel between Zurich and Zug.

Working Pattern: 

Flexible: candidate must be based in Switzerland only (Hybrid/Onsite/Remote) – but need to travel between Zurich and Zug as per business requirements.
