Job Description

The company, newly licensed in the crypto sector in Cyprus, is expanding its team of experts. They seek a Security Engineer who is exceptionally inquisitive, critically minded, and eager to learn, with a strong interest in blockchain and cybersecurity. This role involves ensuring the security of systems, infrastructure, and applications, and contributing to the protection of digital assets and the enhancement of security architecture. Ideal candidates will exhibit a fervor for security, meticulous attention to detail, excellent problem-solving abilities, and strong communication skills. Roles & Responsibilities:

• Address and resolve cyber incidents promptly and effectively.
• Oversee and manage the monitoring of security systems.
• Contribute to reviews aimed at enhancing security across business systems.
• Coordinate with the infrastructure team to uphold a secure environment.
• Support the infrastructure team lead with ongoing and new projects.
• Perform testing for cyber incidents.
• Assist in the creation and implementation of security policies, standards, guidelines, and procedures to ensure continuous improvement and maintenance of the security posture.
• Maintain high standards of documentation.
• Enhance and formalize our Blockchain Security program to support continuous risk assessment for our on-chain products.
• Develop on-chain security strategies and conduct security assessments and threat modeling for various blockchain protocols.
• Take a proactive leadership role, thoroughly identifying major on-chain security risks and devising strategies to address them.
• Offer expert technical advice to the team in developing new frameworks, analysis tools, and security products.
• Lead in establishing best practices and collaborate with product and engineering teams to ensure their adoption.
• Contribute to and create new security tools in partnership with our internal research team.
• Conduct security research and disseminate your findings through publication.

Expectations & Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Mathematics, or a related discipline.
• Extensive expertise in digital signature algorithms, key management, and Public Key Infrastructure (PKI).
• Practical experience with Web3 technologies, such as blockchain, smart contracts, and decentralised applications.
• Deep comprehension of security fundamentals, including encryption, authentication, and secure communication protocols.
• Demonstrated proficiency in Python programming, with a specialised emphasis on cryptography.
