Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities:   

• Formulate and execute robust trading strategies to maximize returns while mitigating potential losses. 
• Perform trades across various cryptocurrency exchanges. 
• Analyse cryptocurrency market trends using data and trading metrics to pinpoint market inefficiencies and opportunities; enhance risk management techniques, and continuously refine crypto trading models and systems. 
• Engage in daily trade research, preparation, analysis, decision-making, and execution. 
• Conduct comprehensive research on diverse cryptocurrencies, blockchain projects, and market dynamics to inform trading decisions. 
• Oversee and manage trading accounts, including portfolio balancing and risk evaluation. 
• Coordinate with internal teams to ensure alignment with company objectives and trading goals. 
• Carry out quantitative research, develop mathematical trading models and strategies, establish risk and performance metrics, and create relevant software. 

Expectations & Requirements:   

• Possess a degree in Applied Mathematics, Financial Engineering, Econometrics, Statistics, or Finance, with a proven record of academic excellence. 
• Demonstrate outstanding analytical and logical reasoning abilities. 
• Show a deep proficiency with prevalent data science toolkits. 
• Have a solid background in financial markets, with experience in market microstructure, algorithmic trading, signal development, and backtesting strategies for mid to high-frequency trading. 
• Exhibit advanced applied statistics skills, including knowledge of distributions, statistical testing, and regression analysis. 
• Possess a thorough understanding of machine learning techniques and algorithms, with practical experience. 
• Display excellent communication skills and a data-focused approach. 
• Preference will be given to candidates who can work from the Limassol office, although this is open for discussion with the successful applicant.
