Job Description

We are seeking a seasoned Senior Product Analytics Specialist with extensive experience in Mixpanel and a solid background in mobile analytics. The ideal candidate will have a demonstrated ability to use data-driven insights to guide product decisions in a dynamic environment. In this role, you will be instrumental in enhancing user experience, boosting engagement, and driving retention for our mobile app.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Spearhead product analytics for our mobile app, utilizing Mixpanel to track, measure, and analyze user behavior and app performance.
  • Work closely with product, engineering, and design teams to develop and oversee event tracking plans, ensuring accurate and thorough data collection for crucial mobile features such as onboarding, engagement, retention, and feature usage.
  • Generate actionable insights on user behavior and engagement through Mixpanel dashboards and reports, providing stakeholders with clear, data-driven recommendations.
  • Execute A/B tests, cohort analyses, and funnel analyses to assess product changes, refine user flows, and evaluate the impact of new features or updates.
  • Track and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) including active users, retention rates, session frequency, and user engagement metrics.
  • Partner with product managers and business teams to align data insights with strategic objectives, ensuring product decisions are grounded in comprehensive data analysis.
  • Maintain data accuracy by collaborating with developers to debug and enhance tracking implementations.
  • Mentor and guide team members, promoting a data-centric culture within the organization.

Qualifications:

  • Over 5 years of experience in product analytics, particularly in mobile environments.
  • Deep expertise in Mixpanel, with hands-on experience tracking and analyzing complex user behaviors in mobile apps.
  • Strong grasp of mobile user behavior and essential performance metrics such as active users, retention, engagement, and funnel analysis.
  • Proficient in A/B testing, cohort analysis, funnel optimization, and user segmentation.
  • Skilled in defining and tracking key mobile app KPIs such as user retention, engagement, session frequency, and conversion rates.
  • Competent in SQL and data visualization tools for querying and presenting complex datasets effectively.
  • Excellent communication skills for translating data insights into strategic recommendations for non-technical stakeholders.
  • Keen attention to detail and strong analytical problem-solving abilities in a fast-paced setting.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with a B2C mobile app.
  • Familiarity with additional analytics tools (e.g., Amplitude, Google Analytics, Firebase) is advantageous.
  • Knowledge of Python or R for advanced data analysis is a plus.
