Expectations & Requirements:   

  • Extensive knowledge of VoIP protocols such as SIP, RTP, and H.323. 
  • Proficient in using VoIP hardware and software, including IP phones, gateways, and PBX systems. 
  • Expertise in the design, implementation, and troubleshooting of network infrastructures. 
  • Solid understanding of network protocols like TCP/IP, DNS, and DHCP, as well as principles of Quality of Service (QoS). 
  • Deep knowledge of VoIP security challenges and best practices, including the implementation of encryption to ensure secure communications. 
  • Experienced in transitioning from traditional telephony systems to VoIP and integrating Public Switched Telephone Network (PSTN) with VoIP solutions. 
  • Skilled in the integration of VoIP systems with other enterprise applications, including CRM and ERP, utilising APIs and SDKs. 
  • Capable of diagnosing and resolving VoIP issues through the use of monitoring tools.  
  • Competent in the planning and management of VoIP projects, overseeing deployments, upgrades, and ongoing maintenance. 
  • Experienced in selecting and managing relationships with VoIP service providers, including contract negotiation and performance oversight. 
  • Strong budgeting skills for VoIP initiatives, with an emphasis on identifying and implementing cost-saving strategies. 
  • Proven ability to lead and mentor a team of VoIP engineers and technicians, promoting effective communication and collaboration across departments. 
  • Knowledgeable about telecommunications regulations and ensuring compliance within VoIP systems. 
  • Committed to delivering exceptional customer service, adept at managing customer expectations and resolving escalated issues.
