Head of Marketing

Job Description

A fast-growing CFD and forex trading company, is expanding into Africa and seeks a Head of Marketing to drive growth and brand awareness. Focusing on South Africa, this role will report to the CMO and lead marketing strategies, client acquisition, and brand engagement in the competitive forex market. 

Roles & Responsibilities:   

  • Develop and execute comprehensive marketing strategies tailored to the African region, ensuring alignment with global objectives. 
  • Build and enhance company’s brand presence in key African markets, with a focus on South Africa, Nigeria, Kenya, and other high-potential regions. 
  • Drive lead generation efforts through digital marketing, partnerships, events, and local initiatives, ensuring optimal client acquisition costs. 
  • Oversee the creation of localized content and campaigns, including social media, email marketing, influencer collaborations, and relevant partnerships. 
  • Manage and mentor the regional marketing team, fostering a high-performance culture while aligning with company’s global goals. 
  • Stay informed on market trends, competitor activity, and regulatory changes in the African region to adapt marketing strategies as needed. 
  • Establish relationships with local influencers, media outlets, and key stakeholders to strengthen company’s presence in the region. 
  • Oversee the African marketing budget, ensuring efficient resource allocation to meet regional objectives. 
  • Collaborate with internal teams such as sales, product, and global marketing to align marketing strategies with overall business goals. 

Expectations & Requirements:   

  • A minimum of 7-10 years of marketing experience, including 3-5 years in a leadership role; experience in online financial services is advantageous. 
  • Proven track record of managing marketing campaigns across African markets, with a deep understanding of local cultures, media, and consumer behavior. 
  • Expertise in digital marketing, including PPC, SEO, social media, and content marketing; experience with lead generation and CRM tools is essential. 
  • Strong leadership and team management abilities, capable of driving performance and fostering a positive team environment. 
  • Data-driven mindset with a focus on performance metrics, ROI, and continuous improvement. 
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to influence and build strong relationships with both internal and external stakeholders. 
  • Comfortable in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with shifting priorities and tight deadlines. 
  • A Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field is required; a Master's degree is a plus.
