Role Overview:
Your duties will include developing new relationships and managing accounts for limited partners ("LP") in the Middle East and beyond.
The ideal applicant will have a network of HNWIs, FOFs, and institutional investors interested in investing in crypto assets, as well as a passion for the creative and systematic process of developing new LP pipelines.
This post allows you to join an early-stage crypto hedge fund with a strong research base and talented team members and supporters.
Responsibilities:
Ensure a seamless experience for our Limited Partners at all interactions.
Conduct high-level initial conversations with potential investors to assess their qualifications as limited partners.
Maintain accurate records of investor interactions on CRM platforms (e.g., Affinity).
Coordinate new LP onboarding activities to guarantee timely completion of documents and fund transfers.
Collaborate with leadership to facilitate VIP investor arrangements, such as golden visas and specialist bank accounts.
Drive an innovative and methodical strategy to generate fresh investor deal flow.
Create and implement methods for acquiring new LPs, such as leveraging networks, attending high-profile events, and connecting with referral networks.
Collaborate with other fund IR specialists to share insights and discover synergies.
Organizing and carrying out investor-focused events, including family office education sessions and private dinners.
Help the company achieve its internal strategy and external goals as well as Offer predictions and insights into fundraising budgets and plans.
Provide bimonthly reports to the leadership team on the IR pipeline and Manage fund presentations, performance reports, and fact sheets for correctness and timely release.
Manage quarterly LP reporting processes, including data verification, formatting, and distribution.
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate possesses strong ethical, intellectual, professional, and personal values that align with our team.
Previous experience in investor relations in private equity or venture capital firms, as well as investment banking in relevant sectors, is preferred.
A bachelor's degree in business, finance, or a similar subject is desired; advanced degrees (MBA) or certifications (CFA, CIRI) are a bonus.
Proficiency in establishing and sustaining connections with high-level stakeholders, such as C-suite executives, institutional investors, and analysts.
Requirements:
Proven ability to swiftly establish trust and relationships with investors and other high-level stakeholders.
Strong grasp of digital assets and the larger cryptocurrency ecosystem, allowing for easy communication of difficult topics to LPs. Performs well in fast-paced, entrepreneurial contexts, balancing strategic and tactical tasks.
Demonstrates exceptional interpersonal skills and has successfully negotiated and closed difficult agreements with sophisticated investors.
A proactive approach, constantly anticipating the requirements of both the team and the investors. Skilled at using data-driven insights to develop investor engagement initiatives and track results.
Possesses an international perspective and cultural sensitivity, able to establish partnerships with investors from many regions and backgrounds.
Skilled at speaking to big crowds and customizing messaging to suit various investor types.
Demonstrates proficiency with CRM tools and a systematic approach to managing investor pipelines and follow-up.
Strong contacts in the Middle East, especially among family offices, funds of funds, and institutional investors.
Travel is both an expected and a benefit of the position, in addition to two team offsites each year.
