Job Description

A leading global CFD and FX brokerage is seeking an experienced and strategic Legal Director to oversee and manage its international legal operations. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience within the CFD/FX industry, strong knowledge of regulatory environments (particularly the FCA in the UK, and ideally Seychelles or Cyprus), and proven expertise in document management and corporate governance. 

This is a key leadership role responsible for ensuring compliance, mitigating risk, and supporting the firm’s global business growth. 

Key Responsibilities 

• Oversee all day-to-day legal operations across multiple jurisdictions. 
• Manage the full legal document lifecycle — including review, drafting, negotiation, execution, tracking, and storage of key legal agreements. 
• Provide legal advice and support to senior leadership across commercial, corporate, and regulatory matters. 
• Ensure compliance with FCA and other relevant international financial authorities (e.g., CySEC, FSA Seychelles). 
• Support corporate governance activities, including board and shareholder documentation, policies, and procedures. 
• Liaise with external counsel and regulators as required. 
• Advise on legal implications of new business initiatives, product launches, and cross-border operations. 
• Maintain and improve internal legal systems, templates, and contract management processes. 

Key Requirements 

• Proven experience working in a CFD / FX brokerage or similar regulated financial services environment (essential). 
• Strong familiarity with UK FCA compliance and regulatory frameworks (required). 
• Extensive experience in legal document management, including review, execution, negotiation, and tracking of agreements. 
• Solid understanding of corporate governance principles and company secretarial practices. 
• Ability to manage multiple international stakeholders and complex legal processes. 
• Qualified lawyer (UK or equivalent jurisdiction) preferred. 
• Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
