Job Description

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Oversee the implementation of new products, processes, and workflows to ensure operational efficiency. 
  • Optimize internal procedures to enhance client service delivery and trading operations. 
  • Maintain high standards in brokerage service execution, including trade settlement, custody, corporate actions, reconciliations, and reporting. 
  • Ensure timely, accurate operational, financial, and ad-hoc reporting to internal stakeholders. 
  • Lead compliance with all applicable regulatory requirements across jurisdictions. 
  • Foster strong, collaborative relationships with regulators, industry bodies, auditors, and external advisors. 
  • Develop and enforce company-wide policies to maintain compliance with best industry practices. 
  • Identify, assess, and mitigate financial, operational, and compliance risks associated with brokerage activities. 
  • Collaborate closely with executive leadership to execute strategic priorities. 
  • Lead and develop operational and back-office teams to promote a compliance-conscious and client-focused culture. 
  • Ensure effective cross-departmental collaboration for operational integrity and efficiency. 

Required Experience and Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field. 
  • Minimum of 5 years in senior operational or risk management roles within a brokerage, investment bank, or financial institution in the EU. 
  • In-depth knowledge of equity markets and brokerage operations involving transferable securities. 
  • Strong understanding of EU regulatory frameworks including MiFID/MiFIR, AML, IFR/IFD, DORA, MAR, SFTR, and their practical applications. 
  • Proven track record managing client service and back-office functions, implementing risk management frameworks, and overseeing compliance and reporting. 
  • Excellent leadership, analytical, problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
