Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee the implementation of new products, processes, and workflows to ensure operational efficiency.
Optimize internal procedures to enhance client service delivery and trading operations.
Maintain high standards in brokerage service execution, including trade settlement, custody, corporate actions, reconciliations, and reporting.
Ensure timely, accurate operational, financial, and ad-hoc reporting to internal stakeholders.
Lead compliance with all applicable regulatory requirements across jurisdictions.
Foster strong, collaborative relationships with regulators, industry bodies, auditors, and external advisors.
Develop and enforce company-wide policies to maintain compliance with best industry practices.
Identify, assess, and mitigate financial, operational, and compliance risks associated with brokerage activities.
Collaborate closely with executive leadership to execute strategic priorities.
Lead and develop operational and back-office teams to promote a compliance-conscious and client-focused culture.
Ensure effective cross-departmental collaboration for operational integrity and efficiency.
Required Experience and Qualifications:
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field.
Minimum of 5 years in senior operational or risk management roles within a brokerage, investment bank, or financial institution in the EU.
In-depth knowledge of equity markets and brokerage operations involving transferable securities.
Strong understanding of EU regulatory frameworks including MiFID/MiFIR, AML, IFR/IFD, DORA, MAR, SFTR, and their practical applications.
Proven track record managing client service and back-office functions, implementing risk management frameworks, and overseeing compliance and reporting.
Excellent leadership, analytical, problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
