Job Description

Main focus of the role: Own and manage the company’s database environments end-to-end, ensuring performance, availability, security and scalability. The DBA will work closely with Development and DevOps teams but must be comfortable operating autonomously, troubleshooting production issues, implementing backup and disaster recovery strategies, and continuously improving database performance and reliability. 

Key Responsibilities

• Administer and optimize databases including MongoDB
• Monitor database performance, storage, and query efficiency
• Implement backup, recovery, and high-availability solutions
• Troubleshoot issues, perform root-cause analysis, and implement solutions
• Administer and optimize databases including MySQL & PostgreSQL
• Assist with automation and continuous improvement projects

Requirements

• 3-4 years of experience as a Database Administrator or Database Engineer
• Knowledge of Linux environments and database monitoring tools
• Strong  experience with MongoDB, MySQL
• Experience with performance tuning, replication, indexing, and backups
• Familiarity with scripting/automation using Python or Bash
• Hands on experience with PostgreSQL
