Job Description

Our client is an established and growing financial technology company with an international presence. The company operates within a fast-paced environment and is expanding its Finance team in Cyprus.

They are looking for a Bookkeeper to support the Finance function and assist with the day-to-day management of financial records and accounting activities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Handle day-to-day bookkeeping and accounting activities.
• Record and maintain accurate financial transactions and ledgers.
• Process invoices, receipts, payments, and related documentation.
• Perform bank reconciliations and assist with account reconciliations.
• Support the preparation of VAT and VIES-related information.
• Assist with monthly and year-end closing activities.
• Maintain organised and accurate financial documentation.
• Follow internal financial procedures and applicable regulations.
• Provide general administrative and ad-hoc support to the Finance team.

Requirements

• Degree or diploma in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Around 1–2 years of experience in bookkeeping, accounting, or a similar position is preferred.
• Basic understanding of accounting principles.
• Familiarity with VAT and general financial procedures.
• Experience with NetSuite or similar accounting software is an advantage.
• Good knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Good organisational and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Good command of English.
